start making money online with seo : bounce rate

What is bounce rate ?
How can i view it ?
Does it effect seo?
How to lower It ?
Bounce rate is the percentage of single-page visits or visits in which the person left your site from the entrance (landing) page. Use this metric to measure visit quality - a high bounce rate generally indicates that site entrance pages aren't relevant to your visitors. The more compelling your landing pages, the more visitors will stay on your site and convert. You can minimize bounce rates by tailoring landing pages to each keyword and ad that you run. Landing pages should provide the information and services that were promised in the ad copy.
It essentially represents the average percentage of initial visitors to a site who "bounce" away to a different site, rather than continue on to other pages within the same site

To view the bounce rates for your website, go to the Bounce Rate report under Visitors > Visitor Trending > Bounce Rate.
Many search engine experts believe that Google is collecting this data, and using it to judge the quality of the site along with the quality of the content on the site. Sites with a higher bounce rate seem to be receiving a small penalty compared to sites with a lower bounce rate. Right now the speculation is that anything over 50% starts receiving some sort of small penalties that scale with the bounce rate, and anything from 25% and lower may be receiving a small bonus. Sites that are in the 26 to 49 percentile do not seem to benefit or suffer from this metric, as those maybe considered the standard.
Tips to lower bounce rate :

Loading Time - Any site which takes a long time to load, won’t get many extra page views from visitors

Design - A site with a dark, or dull boring design, as well as sloppy and busy designs may also discourage page views

External Links - A site with a lot of external links in posts maybe giving away their traffic to other resources for the users. Try keeping everyone on your site for as long as possible.

Content - A site with no content, or bad content will not yield a positive user experience.

Length of articles - This may fall under content, but shorter articles that incite further reading can lead to more page views, but longer more in depth articles will lead to more links

Improve your pageload time - If your home page takes more than 10 seconds to load , in this case you are irritating your site visitors . If you have huge image or a video that takes longer time to load according to me its not good deal . Try to decrease your image size and use videos where ever necessary .
